Being aware of our environment has always been very important to us.  Enough so that we wanted to incorporate it into our new name ecoblu spa and salon (formerly Oasis Day Spa). From our initial buildout to our ongoing operation, here are a few of the things we can proudly say make us stewards for sustainability.

- Partner of Aveda, a global beauty company known for its environmental and social responsibility
- Aveda products used in every service, featuring natural and organic plant and flower-based ingredients
-Purified water filtration system and a “no bottled water” policy
- Reclaimed wood used in feature spa fixtures, styling stations, shelving and massage tables
- VOC-free (Volatile Organic Compound) paint finishes
- All spa menus and printing on post-consumer recycled paper
- Tankless water heaters supply on-demand hot water to the entire spa
- use of cloth hand towels instead of paper in restrooms
- Annual Walk for Water and other Aveda Earth Month fundraising activities benefitting Global Greengrants Fund and regional partners including Gulf Restoration Network
- Paper and plastic recycling throughout spa/salon
- Non-toxic cleaning supplies
- Recyclable retail packaging made from post-consumer recycled materials
- Bottlecap recycling center for the Recycle Caps with Aveda Campaign - an exclusive program that allows our community to recycle plastic bottle caps that are generally not accepted in most recycling stations. These caps can have devastating results to birds and marine wildlife that mistake them for food. (*contact us for more info on this program).  

we are also committed to our local communities and In our two years of business we are proud to have participated in:
- Rescue's & Runways - provided complimentary hair & makeup to all models for fashion show benefitting local animal shelter
- Ft. Hood Earth Fest - raising awareness of environmental sustainability in local community
- www.MatterOfTrust.org - donated hair clippings to make "booms" to help clean up ocean oil spills.
- Ft. Hood Santa Workshop - donated 20% of a days sales to Ft. Hood families. Total donated - $400                  - Breast Cancer Awareness - donated $4 from each Pink Ribbon Hand Relief sale and 20% from SpaRitual nail lacquer sales to benefit Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Cancer Schmancer.
- Ft. Hood Wounded Warrior Program - provided complimentary makeovers to female wounded warrior soldiers for Gala event
-  Free back to school haircuts - provided a day of free hair cuts to get our local kids ready for school.
-   we continually participate in donating services and products to organizations throughout the community including our local schools, Families in Crisis and Ft. Hood organizations, just to name a few.
